Ahari lounged on a rock, stretching her front legs out and sliding her black claws in and out. The lioness gave a yawn, mouth opening wide to show large canines that were placed on the top and bottom of her mouth. Her tail flicked absently and it was a few minutes before she shook out her tan colored pelt and pulled her self up, large paws pressing into the surface of the rock. It didn't seem like any herds of zebra or wildebeast were around, so large animal hunting was out of the option for now. She didn't have any cubs to protect, so wandering around might be her best option.

Taka lay in a small tree, glad that he was still light enough to lay in the trees. The trees provided plenty of shade for the lion, and for that he was also glad. He shook his mane and felt him begin to loose a little grip on the tree.

Ahari happily moves off of the rock she was on, padding into the long grass. It reached her mid-shoulders at the tallest points, and the shorter part of the plains barely covered her paws. She swings her head around slowly, keeping her eyes and ears alert for other lions or something for her to eat. She had seen an antelope carcass not too far from the rock she liked to hang out on, but it had little to no meat left after a few hyenas got to it. Oh well, Ahari had patience.
